Celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ pride, visibility, and community in South-East New Brunswick
Land Acknowledgement
River of Pride acknowledges that the Pride Festival takes place in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded
territory of the Mi'kmaq People. We recognize and honour the Mi'kmaq as the past, present, and future caretakers of this land. This territory is governed by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, which did not involve the surrender of land but established ongoing nation-to-nation relationships.

Celebrating cultural diversity and bilingualism
-
Creating accessible, inclusive public spaces
-
Fostering intercultural dialogue, social cohesion, and belonging
OUR WORK
ADVOCACY
We believe in the strength of unity. River of Pride collaborates with other organizations, both within and outside the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum, to amplify our impact. By joining forces, we tackle larger systemic issues more effectively and push for broader societal acceptance and understanding.
COMMUNITY
Community events are at the heart of River of Pride, offering vibrant platforms for connection, celebration, and empowerment. Through colorful and inclusive gatherings like the annual Pride Parade, we commemorate the progress of the 2SLGBTQIA+ rights movement while promoting visibility and community spirit. These events are essential in reinforcing our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment, providing a safe space for expression, joy, and unity among all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
SUPPORT
Supporting our community means providing them with the tools they need to thrive. We connect them to resources and support for individuals facing discrimination, health disparities, or social isolation. We aim to empower community members and provide them with a platform to share their experiences and challenges.
